Traffic accident prevention
The road safety advisors are your contacts when it comes to correct behavior in road traffic.
The areas of responsibility of traffic accident prevention include:
- Traffic education/awareness in kindergartens and daycare centers
- Use of the traffic puppet stage in kindergartens and schools
- Support for school-based cycling education in primary schools
- Traffic education/awareness in lower secondary schools (Crash Course NRW/bus tours)
- Traffic education/awareness in upper secondary schools (Young Driver Program)
- Traffic education/education in special schools and facilities for people with disabilities
- Traffic education for adults
- Traffic education for senior citizens
- Involvement in and independent implementation of traffic monitoring measures at local focal points
- Aftercare for traffic accidents involving children
- Participation in road safety campaigns with cooperation partners in road safety work
- Follow-up care for road accident victims after serious road accidents
- Collaboration with the traffic department in designing safe routes to school
- Training traffic assistants
- Training multipliers for the road safety education of immigrants
