Showing your face and taking a stand for the values that the police stand for - that is the idea behind the #Nichtmituns campaign, which was launched on social media in response to the events in police authorities, including in Essen. The campaign demonstrates the need of the vast majority of police authority employees not to silently accept the current accusations.

Representing the Aachen police, a group of police officers, government employees and civil servants show their face against extremism and make it clear: "The Aachen police stand for democratic, constitutional and value-oriented action!"

Chief of Police Dirk Weinspach also supports the campaign: "As police, we have to take a clear stance and stand up for the values of our constitution. Who else, if not us! Because we have sworn our oath on Article 1 of the Basic Law, the inviolability of human dignity. With their faces, our colleagues stand for the vast majority of people in our authority.

A small note on the photos: The photos were taken under the applicable hygiene and infection protection regulations. Each model was photographed individually. Mouth and nose protection could be removed for the moment the photo was taken. The distance was maintained. The individual photos were then combined to create a group photo.
