What is the Politour 2024?
In order to make motorcyclists aware of the particular dangers of the winding Eifel routes and the impact of motorcycle noise on local residents, the Aachen police are once again inviting motorcyclists to take part in an accompanied motorcycle tour through the Eifel this year. Whether young or old, long-time rider, newcomer or returning rider - riders of all ages and abilities are welcome on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 09:00 to 16:00.
What can I expect on the tour?
The PoliTour 2024 focuses on motorcycling and the exchange of experiences within the group, which is encouraged by sufficient breaks. There are two stops on the tour, which is around 120 km long. At the first stop, common causes of accidents will be explained and prevention tips given. At the second station, which is a popular spot for motorcyclists, participants will learn about first aid measures, braking distance, motorcycle clothing and airbags for motorcyclists.
The various topics are intended to make motorcyclists aware of the dangers of road traffic and provide possible solutions for various dangerous situations.
How do I register?
The free registration should be sent to politourac.aachen [at] polizei.nrw.de (politourac[dot]aachen[at]polizei[dot]nrw[dot]de), stating your first name, surname, age, email address and a mobile phone number, as well as the engine capacity of the motorcycle you are using.
All participants will be contacted and will receive the necessary information for the tour. They are required to sign a disclaimer and bring it with them. Due to the high demand, the participating bikers will be drawn at random.
